Report: How the session went!
Strengths of participates performance:
The strengths were for participates are that they were able to learn the basic foundation
skills of badminton. Which means, for example, they were performing correct movements
such as overhead smash or underarm serve when they were doing the drills in the session.
Which results in the participants in future to use the correct form which will allow them to
play later on correctly and play more effectively. Which means that they will be able to
perform better because the shuttle will be able to go faster which will be harder for the
opponent to defend against and this will increase the chance of winning the game much
more.
They were able to follow orders such as when I was giving tips or asking them to do
something, they were able to do that without any problem which is good because this was
helping them and me to deliver the session. For example, when I was showing how to
perform overhead smash, they were able to do the same thing without any problem which
allowed them to perform better because they were able to follow the instructions. Then if
they were not to follow the instructions, they would not be able to learn basic skills of
badminton and not improve on the technique in badminton which means that they would
waste time not learning anything because of not listing.
Areas of improvement:
The participants were able to follow the instruction, but they were not able to listen which
resulted in me repeating myself multiple times until they understand what they need to do.
Which made me lose valuable time in the session because I had to repeat myself repeatedly
a multiple of times when delivering the session. For example, when I was explaining how to
deliver the underarm serve in the session, they would talk between each other and not hear
what I say.
Which resulted in them in missing important information that they needed to know and I
needed to repeat myself on how to do the shot because they would ask what they need to
do which resulted in me in losing time and this would be effecting the session because there
was no time to do, other parts of the session or resulting in making the drills shorter
because of them not listening. This is the area that participates must improve on.
Because they would be able to do more in a session which means that they will be able to
get more things out of the session because I would have more time to spend on each
individual which I could improve their performance and thanks to improving their listing
they will take the information better in which they will be able to perform better because
they will learn more and know more so when they are playing they will know different forms
of strategies in badminton which will help them. Also, the more time we have we could be
used for fun or get more practise in when doing the session which could result in performing
better and improving badminton skills.
