, Inleiding
Er is een cognitief interview afgenomen over het meetinstrument The Big Five Inventory – Short
Form (later BFI-2-S genoemd). Het betreft een Engelstalige vragenlijst met 30 items, bedoeld om
persoonlijkheid te meten aan de hand van de vijf eigenschappen beschreven in de theorie van de Big
Five: extraversie, vriendelijkheid, emotionele stabiliteit, ordelijkheid, openheid. Bij deze items kan de
deelnemer kiezen uit de volgende opties: 1. Disagree strongly, 2 disagree a little, 3 neutral; no
opinion, 4. Agree a little en 5. agree strongly. Het cognitieve interview duurde 90 minuten en vond
face-to-face plaats, met als doel het testen van de cognitieve validiteit van dit meetinstrument.
Voorafgaand aan het interview zijn Probes bedacht, waar tijdens het interview waar relevant op
doorgevraagd is.
