Anatomy and physiology

Introduction
I will be producing a report for new Health Care Assistants at a local hospital, the report will
include primary and secondary research that will aid in explaining what homeostasis is. I will
also be discussing the possible homeostatic responses to changes in the internal environment
that happens during exercise. To gather research, I will be participating in an experiment and
use the results of the experiment to show what homeostatic response happens during exercise.
Homeostasis
The human body tries to maintain homeostasis by monitoring its internal conditions this means
regulating multiple factors in the body such as the body temperature and blood pressure. If the
body if functioning right then it is most likely to be in homeostasis. Each physiological condition
has a limit for example the bodies temperature should not be hotter than 37 degrees Celsius.

(The Garden of Eden 2016)

The body’s internal environment is a water-based environment mostly maintained by biological
mechanisms in which the body’s cells exist. The skin separates the body’s internal environment
from the external environment. (Anaphy 2019) The water-based environment is mostly made
up of the fluid's plasma and water which are used for delivery and interstitial fluid for water and
solution exchange that takes place in the cells the interstitial fluid makes up the internal
environment and is used to bathe the cells. (Wikipedia 2019)
