2.1 – ESTRUCTURA DEL MACIZO ROCOSO
Fracturas y otro tipo de discontinuidades estructurales que hacen el macizo discontinuo.
Roca intacta:
Bloque ubicado entre las discontinuidades y podría ser representada por una muestra o trozo de
testigo.
Macizo rocoso:
Compuesto por una o barias rocas que a su vez constituyen planos de estratificación, fallas, juntas,
pliegues y otros caracteres estructurales.
2.2 – CARACTERIZACIÓN GEOTÉCNICA DE MACIZOS ROCOSOS
ESTRUCTURA DEL MACIZO ROCOSO:
Conjunto de caracteres de origen estructural que presenta el macizo rocoso, junto con sus caracterís-
ticas particulares e interrelaciones.
DOMINIO ESTRUCTURAL:
Es cada zona del macizo rocoso, dentro de la cual la estructura es prácticamente homogénea, es de-
cir, existen las mismas familias de discontinuidades.
MACIZOS ROCOSOS:
Los macizos rocosos cumplen las siguientes características, ya que son:
- Discontinuos.
- Heterogéneos.
- Anisótropos.
- No elásticos.
- Afectados por la escala.
