, Assignment 1 Business Planning & Corporate Expectations Unit 9
For this new unit, I must begin by describing what should be considered when
carrying out business planning.
Supply & Inventory Management
Since I will be selling automobiles, the inputs that go into creating it will be my
supplies & the end product will be in my inventory. I will take into consideration who
my suppliers will be, & whether or not I have multiple suppliers available or just rely
on one. Ensuring my supplier/s have a good reputation is another concern of mine; &
will they extend their credit to my business for how much & on what conditions.
Summary
The products my company will offer will be high quality cars that’ll be produced &
stored only when a customer has purchased their chosen vehicle. The services that
my business will offer to the customers is a full automotive detail centre for now, &
they will have the chance to email &/or call my business for any enquiries they have
with the cars we produce.
For the management team & responsibilities, I will have a group of people & their
individual jobs will consist of someone being a:
- Leader
- Answering & routing phones calls as well as payrolls
- Maintaining & operating the automotive detail centre
- Selling & overseeing all operations
In the management team everyone will ensure that there is a friendly atmosphere
where our customers come first.
Market Definition
My company will be mainly focusing on a couple customer profiles. One of which is
whether the customer is a first time buyer, & the next being their age & experience
of driving a car.
The advertising campaign that I will introduce will ensure that consumers know who
& where to find us. We will also inform the consumers about the quality of our
newly produced vehicles that have been safely checked, & include a warranty.
Geographic: My Company’s main source of customers will come from the
surrounding counties of Oxfordshire.
Market Growth: A rise in the population throughout my targeted counties (since
Oxfordshire is a very trendy & calm place to live, despite it being quite expensive)
will lead to more people requiring transportation.
Competition: My competition are a variety of cars with very high reputations, such
as BMW, Ford, Nissan etc. but as a new company, we will ensure our prices are
reasonable & work towards a great reputation.
Marketing Plan
My market overview is to focus on consumers that are looking to purchase
new cars that are a reasonable price. To captivate this market, I must plan to
