- patiënt
- Foto oud en veel schade, weinig te zien op de foto
- Sensor is digitaal, kabel naar computer en meteen op de computer te zien
- Waarneming: hoe de behandelaar de foto kan beoordelen, niet perse de kennis maar meer
een slechte computer, klein scherm allemaal factoren waardoor het waarnemen verminderd
wordt.
- Interpretatie, kennis en ervaring van de behandelaar.
Mate van absorptie tussen de film en de bron. Tussen de bron en film zit een object.1.
Modulatie:
1. Atomaire samenstelling: verzakking van de bundel neemt sterk toe met een hoog
atoomnummer. Bot = 20, weke delen =7
2. Verschil in concentratie: hogere concentratie veroorzaakt een sterkere verzwakking, bijv.
straling in glazuur zal sterker worden verzwakt dan in het dentine, doordat het verschil in
concentratie van calcium in glazuur veel meer is.
3. Verschil in weglente : lengte die de bron moet passeren.
De 3 bovengenoemde zijn allemaal verantwoordelijk voor de absorptie.
Bot bestaat uit Ca moleculen onder anderen.
Weke delen is veel bindweefsel dus veel water en eiwit – dus geen hard materialen of metaal en dus
Atoom getaal en atomair samenstelling in bot is hoger dan de weken delen en dus en blok bot
absorbeerd meer straling dan hetzelfde dikte blok weke delen.
Bot heeft een ander atoom nummer dan weke delen.
Straling gaat dus beter door de weke delen dan door het bot.
Kwik = amalgaam
Hoog atoomnummer = wit op de foto
Modulatie met atoomnummer:
Met en zonder radio-opake fillers.
Links oud vulmateriaal (plastic)
Rechts is wortelcariës.
Verschil vanwege het atoomnummer.
Modulatie in concentratie:
In glazuur veel meer calcium dan in dentine, vanuit glazuur minder straling doorlaten dan in dentine.
Cariës is ook waarneembaar op de foto vanwege de demineralisatie (minder calcium).
Geen obstakels zwart op de foto
Hetzelfde materiaal: hoe dikker de materiaal, hoe meer straling geabsorbeerd wordt. Minder
energie bereikt dan de film lichter beeld.
