1939-1945
De 2e wereld oorlog is belangrijk voor de it wereld.
- U-boten hadden encryptie systemen genaamd: enigma.
De Enigma is een codeermachine, maakt het bericht onleesbaar. Maar kan met een
identieke machine weer leesbaar worden gemaakt.
Eerste elektronische computers
- Eniac 1945-1946 (Manhattan)
- Mark van Manchester 1947-1948
- ARRA 1 & ARRA 2 1962-1955 Nederland
- IBM 305 Ramac 1956 eerste commerciële computer
William Shockley herontdekte de transistor.
Shockley ging naar Palo Alto en gebruikte Silicium in plaats van geranium.
1968
Robert Noyse en Gorden Moore richten Intel op.
Wet van Moore(1965-1975): Elk jaar zouden er 2x zoveel transistoren in in IC passen
dus 2x meer geheugen en 2x meer reken kracht.
1973
Steve jobs & Steve Wozniac richtten Apple op
Intel zocht afzetmarkt dus investeerde.
1984
Douglas Engelbart vindt de muis uit, Xerox ziet het nut niet in van de muis.
Xerox verkoopt het patent van de muis aan Apple voor $40.000.
1975
Bill Gates en Paul Alan richtten Microsoft op.
Programmeerde de Basics voor de ALTAIR 8800, het bouwpakket intel 8008.
Brief: Software maken is arbeid, dus kost geld.
1981
Microsoft megadeal met IBM, hierdoor maken ze software voor alle soorten pc’s.
1989
Microsoft verkrijgt via Apple ook de GUI & de muis. Ze creëren windows 1.0
