a) Teaching Method.

teaching and learning goals. Teaching methods may also be viewed as the procedure that the teacher follows

The teacher may use one of the following methods, direct instruction, problem solving, cooperative, small
group, role play and research. The teacher conducting a lesson on business plan may ask learners to do a

b) Teaching Techniques.
A technique is a way of carrying out a particular task that is how you teach or the way you teach is a technique.
Techniques can be defined as skills acquired with experience and applied as per requirements of the lesson
content. Teaching techniques deals with the way you teach. Example some teachers teach using examples or
others use real life incidents.
1.2 Explain how you would use the JIGSAW strategy as a cooperative learning method in teaching
Business Studies. Explain the planning that needs to be done before you can use this strategy. Give

following aim topic, grade relevance, minimum proposed new knowledge, skills, values, possible
support material, specific method(s) and relevant formal assessment tools with regard to the lesson
