M.Perthes = bloedvoorziening van caput humerus tijdig gestopt. Afsterving van het
bot. Het dode bot wordt door het lichaam opgenomen en tegelijkertijd nieuw bot weer
opgebouwd. Bot is verzwakt en kan inzakken, ronde vorm van heupkop gaat
verloren.
Artritis = gewrichtsontsteking die veroorzaakt kan worden door reumatische
aandoeningen, verwondingen of bacteriële infectie.
Osteomyelitis = botinfectie, beenmerg en beenvlies die door bacteriën wordt
veroorzaakt.
Artrose = slijting van gewrichtskraakbeen
Osteoporose = poreus bot, botdichtheid neemt af en botten worden brozer.
Botontkalking.
Coxartrose = heupartrose
Botcysten = goedaardige holte in het bot gevuld met vloeistof
Tumoren = kwaadaardige zwelling
Metastasen = uitzaaiing
Fractuur = breuk
Fissuur = scheur
(Sub)Luxatie = (gedeeltelijke) ontwrichting
Ossale afwijkingen = afwijkingen aan het bot
FSH = slijmbeursontsteking
