This report will look into recruitment and selection process of Huawei. This will
analyse and evaluate selection and recruitment methods and pro and cons of
them and what way Huawei use as well as the legal and ethical factors that
must be consider when doing so.

COMPANY OVERVIEW
Huawei
Huawei is a Chinese technology giant company based in Shenzhen founded in
1987 by an ex-military officer named Ren Zhengfei. The Company started off
as a public limited company and in its first few years was learning about
private branch exchange technologies and started research about it. In 1992
they made their first product with the digital telephone switch. This telephone
blew China away with the largest switching capacity in China at that time
according to Daxueconsulting. This allowed them to become more of a
mainstream company in China. In 1997 Huawei started its overseas expansion
from the contract with company’s outside of china providing them with fixed-
line network products. This led to more products being launched next few
years such as Gglobal System for Mobile Communications. The Company kept
expanding opening research and devolvement station across the world and became part
of the International Telecommunications Union. But the biggest break in 2004 they signed
contract with Vodaophone and BT.
Huawei is now known to be the world’s largest telecommunications equipment
supplier. They started selling smartphones in 2009 but before that, they were
best known for telecommunication equipment. These range from small
company database computers to TV shows computer and cable equipment.
They have supplied biggest companies such as Google, BT and Cisco Systems.
The company supplies many countries across the world with equipment such
as 5G cell towers to Canada, UK and china to name just a few.
The company has since gone on to become huge success in the market as
their Phones, laptops, WIFI hubs and other electronics and software are used
cross the world by millions and millions. The company has now become the
second biggest smartphone company in the world as it beats Apple. According
to counterpointresearch, Huawei has a 19 percent global market share in 2
quarter of 2019 beating apples 12 percent and shipping out 56 million units of
