eeuwen is het dorpje Beek in de greep van de Wylerheks, een vrouw die ergens in de
zeventiende eeuw van hekserij werd verdacht en daarvoor na uitvoerige martelingen tot de
strop werd veroordeeld. Ze komt echter een eeuw later op onverklaarbare wijze terug en zet
meerdere inwoners uit Beek tot zelfmoord aan. Dat is het moment waarop een stel inwoners
haar ogen en mond dichtnaaien om haar zodoende in toom te houden. Sindsdien blijft het
tot in de huidige tijd relatief rustig in het dorp als je een paar merkwaardige zaken buiten
beschouwing laat. Ten eerste is de Wylerheks al die eeuwen blijven leven en maakt ze nog
steeds haar dagelijkse rondjes door het dorp. Ten tweede is iedereen die in het dorp Beek is
komen wonen gedoemd om daar voor altijd te blijven. Alleen al een weekje buiten de
dorpsgrenzen leidt tot ernstige depressies en zelfmoordneigingen. In overleg met de AIVD is
door de bewoners besloten om het bestaan van de heks geheim te houden om grotere
ellende te voorkomen. Een stel jongeren in het dorp besluit deze gang van zaken niet langer
te pikken en gaat de confrontatie met de heks aan. Met alle gevolgen van dien.
