The marketing mix is a strategy tool that businesses use to plan. “The marketing mix refers
to the set of actions, or tactics, that a company uses to promote its brand or product in the
market. The 4Ps make up a typical marketing mix - Price, Product, Promotion and Place.”

for businesses to develop a marketing mix, as this helps them to plan, understand more and
help them to succeed with their new product.
The marketing mix requires plenty of research and understanding in order to do it the right
way, and many people that are part of the business should be involved to achieve success.
There is also a services marketing mix which is made up from 7Ps, adding an additional three
Ps to the mix, which are process, people, and physical evidence. Apple has their own
marketing mix strategy that is effective and has been successful as they have made many
sales on their products. They use an approach that focuses on premium branding, and they
ensure that all the elements of the marketing mix support this approach.
Product
Internet marketing has many benefits and opportunities within the marketing mix of Apple.
The product within the marketing mix refers to everything surrounding the product such as
the features and what it can do. One benefit internet marketing has on the product element
of the marketing mix is the opinions and feedback from the target market/customers. With
online marketing, there is a greater connection with customers due to the use of social
media. Internet marketing allows Apple to meet customer needs because Apple can connect
with the target market, asking for their opinions and preference on their products. Receiving
feedback from the target market allows Apple to develop their products in a way to meet
their needs and wants.
For example, customers can give feedback to Apple’s new iPhone 11 on the comment
section on their Instagram page, as well as direct messaging them and posting reviews on
Apple’s other social media accounts such as Facebook and Twitter. Before the internet,
getting feedback from customers was much more time consuming, as it required the
marketers to go around different location to ask questions from potential customers, and
customers had no easy way to give their opinions, as businesses cannot speak to every
customer on the phone, or directly speak to them in any other way.
Another benefit of internet marketing within the product element of the marketing mix is
the increased amount of information on the product over the internet. For example, reviews
on the website, video demonstration etc. The information of This large amount cannot be
found on the products within the store. This helps customers to make better decisions and
helps decrease the return rates.
Apple offers detailed information of each of their products on their website, such as
technical information of their iPhones. Apple provides people with “a learn more” option
under each of their product, which leads them to an extremely detailed description on the
product that they have selected. Including the capacity, the size and weight, build-in apps
