Alternatieve media: zoektocht naar alternatieven voor de kritiek vanuit politieke
economie en culturele studies
Laatste 3 stromingen zijn actuele ontwikkelingen en vormen de zoektocht naar
alternatieven binnen het medialandschap voor de kritiek die politieke economie en
culturele mediastudies kunnen ontwikkelen op allerlei media
o Almachtige media vertrekt vanuit consensusvisie op de samenleving, een consensus die
bedreig wordt via nieuwe media
o Almachtige ontvanger vertrekt ook vanuit consensusvisie maar gaat vooral uitspraken doen
over hoe consensus wordt beriekt binnen een maatschappij obv het gebruik van media
o Politieke economie: hoe heeft de economische structuur van media een invloed op hoe zij
bestaande machtsrelaties bestendigen of uitdagen
