On 21st May 2017, I attended the San Jose Youth Chamber Orchestra. This was not the first
time I was watching the orchestra play. It takes place every year and I have attended it once
before. I have a passion for listening to good music especially the harmonized one such as what
is played in an orchestra has continued to fascinate me. Therefore, I decided to go and check on
my best Orchestra and what they were cooking that year. I therefore visited the San Jose Youth
Orchestra and got to witness some key aspects of the Music played there. This ranged from the
pieces and the mannerisms in which the pieces were played. Most of the pieces were appealing
to my ears. However, there were a few that appealed most to me. I enjoyed my time at the
concert.
I attended the concert just as a passionate and talented musician. In May, I had just begun
my training on the violin. I was therefore just there to see what people who had been in the craft
for a longer time than I was were doing. Also, I wanted to see how they harmonize with other
instrumentalists to make a masterpiece of music. I did not stay throughout the concert. Therefore,
I only heard through three pieces only through the whole concert. The pieces were, Adagio,
Distros and The talks of Hoffman. Some of these pieces are from historical times in the past.
However, the orchestra took the pieces and added to them some aspects of the contemporary type
of music. This made the whole of the three pieces sound as though they bore the Contemporary
style of music. I had a chance to have a close look at the Orchestra and see the instrumentation of
, Surname 2
the Orchestra. The instrumentation was as follow, two clarinets, two flutes, two bassoons, two
flutes, timpani, alto-saxophone, four trumpets, harp, strings and three trombones.

Pieces Analysis
Adagio
This was one of the best-performed pieces in the whole concert. It bore some key aspects
that were very appealing to the people and me. Apparently, when people in the auditorium heard
the first progression of the piece and learned that it was the piece, then they began celebrating.
The instrumentalists of the orchestra maintained unity and variety in their progression. The
conductor employed very new aspects of the piece. However, He still maintained unity among
the various instruments. The piece contained a very high tempo. The beats to be moving very
fast, however, not too fast for a person to follow. The piece had a low volume while starting.
However, this volume kept on rising towards the end of the piece. The instruments were all in
harmony while they maintained a very good rhythm and form of the song. This piece is from the
contemporary historical period. It is a modern developed piece by Allegro Molto.
