Er zijn van vier verschillende materialen een trekproef gedaan. Deze materialen zijn:
twee soorten staal (koudgetrokken en warmgewalst),
aluminium (Al-99,5)
ABS (Acrylonitril-Butadieen-Styreen, een co-polymeer).
Bij een trekproef wordt een proefstaaf met bekende afmetingen (zie bestand
“afmetingen proefstaaf.pdf” voor de hier gebruikte afmetingen) steeds verder belast, totdat
er breuk optreedt. Deze proef leidt tot een kracht-verplaatsings-diagram (F-ΔL).
Vanuit het kracht-verplaatsings-diagram (F-ΔL) kan een spannings-rekdiagram (σ-ε) worden
gemaakt. In een spanningsrekdiagram is verticaal de spanning (sigma, σ) uitgezet tegen
horizontaal de rek (epsilon, ε). Uit dit diagram kunnen verschillende (materiaal)-
eigenschappen, zoals de treksterkte (σUTS), de vloeigrens (σy of σ0,2), de breukrek (εb), de
elasticiteitsmodulus (E) worden bepaald. Dit gaan we ook met de data uit onze eigen proef
doen.
