Decision making is a method that is used by leadership to influencethe ethical behaviors
of a group(Mederer, Scholl, & Scholl, 2016). The difference between moral leadership and moral
people, is that moral leadership possess attributes of morality incorporating their ethics and
beliefs into their day to day decision making, thus producing ethical results(Mederer, Scholl, &
Scholl, 2016). Moral people are those who demonstrate honesty and integrity, modeling
behaviors of moral leadership(Mederer, Scholl, & Scholl, 2016). Moral leaders lead groups by
example through behaviors, communication, and the use of methods like reward/punishment to
shape and mold ethical decision making of the group(Mederer, Scholl, & Scholl, 2016). That
said, immoral leadership and team members also do exist. Immoral leadership who display
unethical behaviors tend to go against the ethical standards of an organization that are usually
influenced by selfish motives, thus influencing behaviors of the group(Mederer, Scholl, &
Scholl, 2016). For this reason, it is essential for organizations to retain strong leadership who
identify themselves as moral people who possess both positive behaviors and traits successfully
influencing team members in ethicalmanner(Mederer, Scholl, & Scholl, 2016).
