- Verzender (shipper/consignor): Geeft de opdracht tot luchtvervoer
- De geadresseerde (consignee): aankoper, importeur of tussenpersoon
- Expediteur (cargo agent): Regelt het vervoer
- Luchtvaartmaatschappij (airline): Zet vliegtuigen in over bepaalde routes en biedt transport
aan
- General sales agent (GSSA/GSA): Zal in opdracht van een airline op zoek gaan naar
expediteurs
- Afhandelaar (handling agent): zal in opdracht van de airline goederen laden en lossen van de
vliegtuigen.
- Douane (customs): Zal controle uitvoeren op de goederen.
3.1.2. Exportproces
Stappen van het exportproces:
1) Aanmelding van de zending (ready for carriage): de shipper zorgt ervoor dat de exportzending
aangemeld wordt en klaar is voor verzending. Ready for carriage is hiervoor het standaardbegrip.
2) De expediteur zal de goederen afhalen, ruimte reserveren bij de airline en transportdocumenten
opmaken. Tegelijk controleert hij de veiligheidsstatus van de zending om uiteindelijk, na de
uitklaring van de goederen, deze af te leveren bij de handling agent.
3) De handling agent controleert de goederen of ze effectief ready for carriage zijn en zal ze
voorbereiden op het vertrek met het gereserveerde vliegtuig of truck.
4) De airline zorgt dan voor het effectieve vervoer van airport naar airport
