Abdomen MRI voorbereiding
• Patiënt is 4 uur voorafgaand aan onderzoek nuchter.
• Toiletbezoek voorafgaand MRI onderbuik
• Buscopan (IM of IV)
• Coil/spoel keuze
• Keuze patiënt positionering
• Evt. infuus (contrast, buscopan)
• Keuze infuus, dynamisch ja/nee
• Bekertje water met druppel gadolineum
• Enteroclyse, uur van tevoren 1800 ml water met suikeroplossing drinken

• Head first of feet first
• Maak het de patiënt zo comfortabel mogelijk
• Gebruik spine coil (tafelblad) i.c.m. torsocoil
• Zorg dat de af te beelden gebied in het centrum van de coil ligt
• Geen bloot tegen coil of wanden van de tunnel, anders brandwonden
Protocol en scanrichting keuze
• Anatomische kennis belangrijk
• Scanrichting is meestal oblique
• Altijd in de volle lengte en breedte afbeelden van gewenste anatomie
Scanrichtingen
• Sagittaal, coronaal, axiaal/transversaal
• Indien mix van bovenstaande spreek je van oblique
• Meer coronaal -> coronaal oblique
• Belangrijk om te weten wat de fase en frequentie richting in een beeld is
Fase en frequentie richting
• Een beeld bestaat uit 3 richtingen;
o Fase
o Frequentie
o Slice coderend
• Deze richtingen zij nodig om een punt uit het lichaam een juiste plaats codering in het
uiteindelijke beeld mee te geven.
• Fase richting is over het algemeen de kortste as van het MRI-plaatje
• Frequentie richting is over het algemeen de langste as van het MRI-plaatje
• Slice richting staat loodrecht op het MRI-plaatje en kan je buiten beschouwing laten in een
2D-beeld
