Mijn naam is Sara Said, en ik ben 23 jaar. Ik volg de opleiding Social work met als profiel jeugd. Ik
volg deze opleiding op de Hogeschool van Amsterdam. De organisatie waar ik stage loop heet De
BOOT. In samenwerking met de Hogeschool van Amsterdam, hebben ze de Keukentafel opgericht.
De Keukentafel is gevestigd in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. De HvA en De Keukentafel merkte dat er vooral
in Zuidoost veel vraag en behoefte was aan extra ondersteuning voor de jeugd. De Keukentafel biedt
begeleiding en ondersteuning aan. De ondersteuning en begeleiding wordt aangeboden aan kinderen
die moeite hebben met een bepaald vak. Ondersteuning kan ook aangevraagd worden voor een
taalachterstand of wanneer een leerling moeite heeft op het sociaal gebied. Het wordt alleen
aangeboden aan leerlingen van groep 3 t/m 6. Ze hebben gekozen voor leerlingen uit deze klassen,
omdat die schooljaren het meest invloed hebben op de ontwikkeling van een leerling. Stagiaires van
de opleiding social work en toegepaste psychologie, krijgen een leerling toegewezen. Die leerling
begeleid en ondersteun je voor 15 weken lang. Daarna is het de taak aan de ouders om het van jou
over te nemen.
