Dit plaatje laat de mate waarin dwang kan worden toegepast zien. Dwang is een
machtsmiddel en dit kan je vanuit bepaalde wetten doen. Of iemand nou wilt of niet.
Wij als verpleegkundigen maken graag gebruik van overreding. Dit is eigenlijk adviseren wat
je moet doen. We gebruiken hier overtuiging en adviezen voor. Dit is nog net geen
paternalisme.
Domotica = is technische aanpassingen/ondersteuning zodat mensen nog zolang mogelijk
thuis kunnen wonen en zelfstandig. Denk hierbij aan camerabewaking.
Zelfbindingsverklaring
Met een zelfbindingsverklaring verbindt de patiënt zich tot het ontvangen van verplichte
zorg, zelfs als hij zich er later tegen verzet. In de verklaring kan de patiënt aangeven:
- Welke vormen van verplichte zorg er aan het mogen worden opgelegd;
- Onder welke omstandigheden (dus wanneer) deze zorg mag worden verleend;
- Hoe lang hij de verklaring van zich verbinden tot zorg van kracht wil laten zijn (bij de
Wet BOPZ was er sprake van een beperkte geldigheidsduur van max. 12 maanden,
dat is bij de WVGGZ niet meer het geval).
Een zelfbindingsverklaring wordt altijd opgesteld ten tijde van wilsbekwaamheid van de
patiënt.
