Abstract
In dit onderzoek is de free recall test van Glanzer en Cunitz (1966) gerepliceerd. Het
onderzoek is uitgevoerd bij de eerstejaars studenten methodologie. Tijdens het onderzoek
werden de proefpersonen verdeeld in twee groepen: de delayed recall groep en de immediate
recall groep. Deze groepen voerden het free recall experiment uit. Hierbij moesten ze vijftien
woorden onthouden en vervolgens moest de immediate recall groep de woorden meteen
opschrijven, terwijl de delayed terug moest tellen in stappen van 3 voordat ze de woorden
mochten opschrijven. Uit het onderzoek bleek dat er geen significant verschil was tussen de
proportie correcte woorden van de twee groepen en dus kwam het free recall experiment niet
overeen met het originele onderzoek van Glanzer en Cunitz (1966). Het onderzoek van
Glanzer en Cunitz (1966) kwam overeen met het modal model. Echter kwam het
replicatieonderzoek niet overeen met het modal model.
