Chronische veneuze insufficiëntie (CVI)
- Symptomencomplex met als gemeenschappelijk kenmerk de gevolgen van een afvloedstoornis
van het veneuze bloed.
- 1:8 volwassenen
- ♀ : ♂ = 2á3:1. Vaker bij vrouwen.
- Dynamisch proces: ontwikkeld zich in de loop der tijd.

Ontstaan van CVI
- Obstructie in diepe of opp systeem. Er is een passage probleem.
- Insufficiënt kleppensysteem
- Onvoldoende spieractiviteit, spierpomp is belangrijk voor het terugkrijgen van bloed naar het
hart. Vanwege bv een dwarslaesie kan dit niet, of mensen die langdurig stil zitten met de zitting
in de knieholte. Specifiek de kuitspier. Primiar: spieractiviteit in de onderbenen, met name de
kuit.
Gezond vs. CVI
- Zelfde orthostatische druk (rechtop staan), druk neemt niet af maar eerder toe.
- Bij CVI onvold. Drukdaling tijdens lopen
- Kleppen verloren of ontbreken
- Functie spierpomp ↓
- Druk in veneus systeem↑
- Bloed minder makkelijk naar proximaal
Ontstaan van CVI
- Primaire varicosis: spataderen / varices
- Tromboflebitis: oppervlakkige trombose, er komt een ontstekingsverschijnsel bij: roodheid.
Trombose zit in de diepe vaten, komt ook ontsteking bij maar dan zie je deze
ontstekingsreactie niet op de huid.
- Insufficiënte venae perforantes: klepjes tussen oppervlakkig en diep systeem. Het bloed kan dan
ook van diep naar oppervlakkig terugstromen en dat willen we juist niet.
- Diepe veneuze trombose –> Post trombotisch syndroom
