today's world are often overlooked to where we are unaware of the certain repercussions. Even
personally we have certain illnesses or health issues that can be contributed to environmental
issues such as pollution, climate change, and industrial and household waste.Implementing
recycling habits into your daily life is one of the most effective ways to help lessen landfill
waste, conserve natural resources, save habitats, reduce pollution, cut down on energy
consumption, and slow down global warming.
According to our textbook, our environment is referred to as "the natural ecosystems that
include air, water, land, and the life forms in, on, around, and dependent on them." (Hammond,
S. C., & Christensen, L. J. (2016).There are many health concerns such as diseases, cancers, and
asthma that can flare up based off of someone environmental surroundings. People that have had
hip or knee replacement would say, “They feel the rain coming because their bones will ache.”
That is no different when you think through certain pollutants affecting someone’s breathing.
Pollution does not only affect the air we breathe, but it also affects them soil and bodies of water.
As a community, there are ways that we can help reduce air pollution by doing simple things like
being mindful of energy conservation. Vehicle manufacturing companies are producing more
electric, solar, or natural gas vehicle. “Electric vehicles also contribute less to climate change
and smog than traditional cars because they produce fewer direct emissions.Pollutants from cars
that use gas "directly or indirectly harm human health and the environment (Hineman, 2020).
Another way to contribute to reducing air pollution is to utilize public transportation or start
carpooling with co-workers or parents to transport children to sporting events. Changing how
we commute and how often, can help cut back on air pollution.
