ACC 205: Principles of Accounting l
Company Overview
Coco-Cola, Keurig Dr Pepper, and PepsiCo are carbonated soft drink companies. They
belong to the beverage industry, where Coca-Cola and PepsiCo are the leading corporations in
, 2
the industry. Coca-Cola’s is based out of Atlanta, Georgia and their main products are Coco-
Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Schweppes, Appletiser, Fresca, and Barq’s. Their competitors are Keurig Dr
Pepper, Tropicana, PepsiCo, Red Bull and Monster. Keurig Dr Pepper is from Burlington,
Massachusetts and some of their soft drink products are 7UP, A&W Root Beer/Cream Soda, Dr
Pepper, Sunkist, Squirt, and many more. They also have coffee products like, Green Mountain,
Tully’s and Diedrich Coffee, along with the Keurig brewing machines. PepsiCo was founded in
New Bern, North Carolina. The main products in the beverage industry are Pepsi, Mountain
Dew, Gatorade, Naked, Aquafina, Starbucks (ready beverages), Sierra Mist, and Tropicana. They
also have other products in the food industry. They have Doritos, Sabra, Fritos, Ruffles, Quaker
and Cheetos.
Coca-Cola, Keurig Dr Pepper, and PepsiCo are all competing with each other in the same
industry, but Coca-Cola and PepsiCo are the two powerhouses in the market. The two companies
may be leading the industry, but Coca-Cola has been the market leader since 2004. All three
companies have a variety of products, which makes it difficult to find out who controls more of
the market. These companies are in over 200 countries, making them household names across the
globe. Time is changing though, and consumers are starting to seek out healthy drink
alternatives. Some of these companies are La Croix, Pellegrino, and Bai. With these companies
on a rise, Coca-Cola, Keurig Dr Pepper, and PepsiCo have to start focusing on healthier options
to keep up with new rise in competition with the healthier beverage companies.
