pandemic's global demand (WHO, 2020). While the world is thanking front line workers for

line to care for others. The demand for additional nurses is more apparent today than ever. This
paper will discuss how nursing shortages affect staffing ratios andinclude ideas and strategies to
improve this national healthcare issue.
