3. Create a short four step ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) troubleshooting guide. What
problems can occur with ARP? What can you discover by using the command line utility
ARP?
Trouble shooting steps for ARP would be as follows.
a. Open command-prompt with administrator privileges and then type the command
“ipconfig /all” to determine the IP address and MAC address of the computers within the
LAN.
b. Type “arp -a” to bring up the ARP table. Determine if the MAC address is correct on the
problem computer.
c. Type “arp -d” to clear the cache if the address is incorrect.
