1. Inleiding
1.1. Fysiologische aspecten

-Licht is de regulator van ons bioritme. Een onderdeel daarvan is het slaap-waak-ritme.
• Fotobiologische processen -
-onder invloed van licht wordt in de bijnierschors cortisol (stresshormoon) geproduceerd,
waardoor onze concentratie op peil blijft Cortisol staat o m in voor de afbraak van eiwitten
waarbij glucose vrijkomt (= weerstandsmiddel).
-productie van melatonine (‘slaaphormoon’) afhankelijk van de hoeveelheid licht, de duur van
blootstelling en de spectrale samenstelling van licht.
-productie van vitamine D , o.i.v . UV straling in zonlicht, om calcium uit voedsel te kunnen
opnemen voor de groei en het beendergestel.
• Kinderen die veel buitenspelen hebben minder snel kans op bijziendheid.
1.2. Psychologische effecten
• SAD
-Depressie die verbonden is met de seizoenen. Je krijgt te weinig zonlicht binnen.

schuin invalt. -
Breking van licht door een translucent of transparant medium: golflengte wordt samengedrukt
(=kleinere golflengte) waardoor het licht blauwer schijnt, alsook de snelheid van licht daalt.
