In this weeks announcement you asked to turn in our Weekly Goal, but I didn't see a specific thread for it, so I'll post it separately
from our reflection.

Weekly Schedule for Clinical

Tuesday 8:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.

Thursday 8:30 A.M. - 6:30 P.M.

Friday 8:30 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.

Clinical Goals for the Week

My clinical goal for the week is to continue to see as many patient's as I can completely independently. My preceptor is really
helping with that and allowing me more freedom.

Barriers to my Clinical Site

I believe I said this during week 1 or 2, but due to the population that we see, we have had a lot of "no shows." Therefore, during
these last few weeks I have had to pick up extra clinical days to be able to meet the 125 clinical hour requirement.

Professor and Class,

As I reflect back over the last 7 weeks of NR 601: Primary Care of the Maturing and Aged Family Practicum, I feel that it has
more than prepared me to meet not only the above listed outcomes and competencies, but work towards many others.

This course has allowed me to work towards the Chamberlain College of Nursing Program Outcome #5: Advocates for positive
health outcomes through compassionate, evidence-based, collaborative advanced nursing practice. I feel that I was able to
meet this outcome every day that I was at my clinical site. As stated in many of my discussions, our population is very low

income, poor social status, and the uninsured. Our clinic had special payment grids based on patient incomes, our nurse
navigators went above and beyond to help the uninsured become insured and with transportation, and we tried our best to give
our patient's medications they could afford or gave samples when available. We, as a team, worked together to advocate for our
patient's that would otherwise probably not seek out healthcare or be able to afford it. We use very compassionate, evidence-
based, collaborative advanced nursing practice to provide the best care to our patient's to see that they are well taken care of.

Being in the clinic that I am currently in has also expanded my knowledge on the affordability of medications and how certain
