1.1.1- Introduction :
Définition 1 : Une expérience est dite aléatoire ou stochastique
s'il est impossible de prévoir son résultat.
Exemples :
a) On jette un dé et l'on observe le résultat obtenu.



b) Si on lance trois fois de suite une pièce de monnaie, on peut
distinguer 8 résultats possibles :

{(P,P,P); (P,P,F); ....; (F,F,F)}.
c) On jette une pièce de monnaie jusqu'à ce que le côté face sorte
pour la première fois.

Remarque : L'ensemble Ω peut être fini ou infini.
Exemples :

b) Pour le lancement trois fois de suite d’une pièce de monnaie,
Ω est fini et on peut distinguer 8 résultats possibles :
card (Ω) = 2 × 2 × 2 = 8
c) Pour le jet d’une pièce de monnaie jusqu'à ce que le côté face
sorte pour la première fois, Ω est infini car on peut jeter
la pièce de monnaie éternellement sans avoir le coté face.
