trachea; contains vocal cords

Bronchi- two short branches located at the lower end of the trachea that
carry air into the lungs.

Bronchioles- ✅Airways in the lungs that lead from the bronchi to the
alveoli.

Alveoli- tiny sacs of lung tissue specialized for the movement of gases
between air and blood. The air from breathing in goes in here, where gas
exchange takes place.

Capillaries- Microscopic vessel through which exchanges take place
between the blood and cells of the body

Gas Exchange- the process of obtaining oxygen from the environment
and releasing carbon dioxide.The alveoli takes the oxygen from the air and
replaces and takes the CO2 from the small blood vessels around them
(capillaries).

Exhaling- diaphragm relaxes, rib cage lowers, pressure in lungs
increases and forces air out. The CO2 mixes with the air and exits as the
air is breathed out.
