This is almost like every parent, no matter if this is their first child or not. Finding childcare can

be overwhelming for most, because so many good and bad things comes with it. Most families

are not prepared for childcare, but soon find themselves getting ready.Finding child care is a big

challenge because you have to think about your job first , your finances, and the safety of your

child.

Families first think about their jobs when finding childcare. Often they want to know if

the facility hours are flexible with their work hours."What are the hours? What if you are late in

picking up your child? How are vacations and holidays scheduled?" (American Academy of

Pediatrics, 2). Questions like these could help when choosing the best provider.

According to childcare in America: 2016 State Fact Sheets "Every week in the United

States, child care providers, care for nearly 11 million children younger than age 5 whose parents

are working. On average, these children spend 36 hours a week in child care, and one quarter

(nearly 3 million) are in multiple child care arrangements due to the traditional and

nontraditional working hours of their parents"(Child Care Aware of America, 3). Nowadays

parents work schedules are very conflicted, so its important to them to inquire about hours and

late fees.

Finances are extremely important to families, when finding childcare. Do their work

hours and wages work out with the tuition and facility hours? Do both parents make enough to

cover tuition and their other monthly expenses? According to Child Care in America: 2016 stat
