CONTENTS (inhoud)
Short summary of plot The book is about Mae Holland who wants to work at the worlds most powerful internet company called: “the
(max. 25 lines) in your own Circle". Her best friend, Annie, already works there and she secures Mae the job. The slogan of the
words company is: "All that happens must be known". “Seechange” is the first example in the book of technology
overreaching the private lives of people under this slogan. It is a little camera that is as big as a lollypop and
you can put it everywhere without people noticing it because it is so small and it can adjust to the colour of
the surface its attached to. Mae meets Kalden, he's mysterious but he warns her about the Circle and about
making everything known to everyone isn’t necessary a good thing.
When Mae illegally kayaked at night and gets caught, she shames herself for this. After the accident she
decides to go transparent, it means she'll wear a Seechange camera at all times. It is also a example for the
rest of the world because if she would’ve gone transparent when she illegally kayaked, she wouldn’t have
done it in the first place and she would’ve been found quicker.
After she decides to go transparent Mae becomes very successful within the company. Mae believe really
strong in transparency and she decides to betray her bosses by challenging them to go transparent as well
