How useful and reliable are these sources to show how difficult life was for the people of

I gave a summary of what Whitechapel and East London was like - try to summarise.
Then I tried to summarise how useful and reliable the sources were - in what way?
London was divided at the end of the 19th century. There were rich areas and poor areas. The
poorer areas were in the east end and the richer areas were in the west end. From the poorer areas
Whitechapel was one of the worst areas to live in. This area became known as ‘Darkest London’.
White chapel used to be quite a successful area, but it changed when the industrial revolution
happened. The population grew massively, people decided to move to the east ends to look for
work. Whitechapel was a mix of people- English locals, Immigrants, and many people moved there
from the English countryside. There were 2 types of Immigrants- the Irish- they had come to England
intending to catch a ship to America, but they had ran out of money so instead they had to work in
the east on the railway's roads and shipyards. The Jews- they came to London to escape from abuse,
many people were jealous and suspicious of them as they often ran successful businesses.
The condition of the houses of Whitechapel were extremely poor. The houses were built back-to-
back. A whole family or up to 10 people would live in one room. Families would live in the cellar as
well. People would sleep on the floor and in shifts. They had to share a water pump and toilet with
other houses. Diseases were a huge problem, 20%of children died before the age of 5.
overpopulation was a huge problem. Sewerage would flow through the street. People would live in
lodging houses; they would have to pay for a bed for 8 hours. The lodging houses were so unhealthy,
smelly, and full of rats. Around 200 lodging houses in Whitechapel were able to accommodate over
8000 people every night. There wasn’t enough fresh air so the diseases would spread very quickly.
Many people had to go to workhouse because they were extremely poor, sick, disabled. Orphans
and unmarried mothers had to work for food and accommodation, they had to work very hard.
There were so many factories and industries in the area so there was a lot of pollution. There was
