This report has analysed the Human Resources Management key skills, important to solve
issues that can occur within the workforce in the hospitality industry. It has explained the right
recruitment process for Hilton Hotel along with training that can enhance employees’ skills
such as role-playing, interactive activities, and simulated real-life case studies and has tackled
on which topics they should relate (i.e. safety training, customer care, product and service-
specific training, and service quality) (Kyriakidou, et al., 2010). It has evaluated the
importance to consider different learning styles and, accordingly, adapt strategies to them,
utilising, in this instance, the VAK model. As a result, this will facilitate Learning &
Development strategies making them more effective to both the employees and employers. This
report has also explained the Performance Management System and its positive influence on
the employees’ commitment. This will for instance reduce staff turnover, which is a key
struggle for the Hospitality industry (Tews, et al., 2014) and increase the productivity of the
staff. Furthermore, it has suggested how Performance Management System and Learning &
Development are linked together and their benefits of implementing them on the business. To
conclude key legislations of the Hospitality industry such as General Data Protection
Regulation and Equality Act 2010 along with their penalties, in case of noncompliance have
been explained, and differences between legislation in UK and Italy have been identified.
