, Preface
This TEST BANK contains a variety of test questions for each chapter of
ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR: Science, the Real World, and You, 8th Edition.
Each chapter contains multiple-choice, true-false, matching, and short essay questions.

The features of this test bank include:

1. Ease of reference between the textbook and the test bank has been maintained
by the inclusion specific page numbers to assist in the quick reference for
multiple-choice, true-false, and essay questions. For the multiple-choice
questions only, the chapter Topic is also included. Page references appear in
the “REF,” and topic appears in “TOP.”

2. Test Questions Construction–The multiple-choice questions have been
designed to test varying degrees of comprehension by your students. This is
accomplished in two ways: (1) Four different types of questions (knowledge
and comprehension—abbreviated as K&C in the test bank, application—
abbreviated as appl. in the test bank, analysis—called simply analysis, and
synthesis and evaluation—abbreviated as S&E in the test bank), and (2) the
estimated degree of difficulty (easy, moderate, hard). Type appears in
“MSC,” or miscellaneous, and level of difficulty appears in “DIF.”

Knowledge and comprehension questions are designed to test a student’s
ability to recall a basic fact or definition. These questions test knowledge
regarding common terms, facts, and procedures, and test the ability to
distinguish among similar terms and concepts. As stated earlier, these
questions are abbreviated with K&C.

Application questions present specific problems that require students to
utilize text material in the resolution of problems. These questions strive to
represent real-world decisions or problems and apply theories and
principles.

Analysis questions ask students to recognize unstated assumptions and
logical fallacies, distinguish facts from inferences, and evaluate the
relevance of data for a given situation.

Synthesis and evaluation questions request students to select and use
criteria to help make a decision, selection, or judgment. Students are
requested to judge the degree to which data support a conclusion, compare
the relative effectiveness of different techniques to solve problems, and
support recommendations using appropriate reasoning.
