, 1. Introduction
The following report intends to prove that the software update of the O5AppShop has created
issues, it is vital for all services that O5AppShop provide to be fully functioning for all parties
involved. In response to the support team insisting the issue is with the network connection and not
with the platform itself, I will be conducting several tests and provide evidence in order to prove that
the problem lies with the updated software.
Firstly, I will be setting up a test network which will be the environment I will be working in. This will
be accomplished by creating two virtual Ubuntu machines running as well as a FreeBSD router in
order to allow communication between the two hosts. This will be done using the Linux terminal and
Wireshark.
Using the protocol for O5Client and O5Server I will be systematically capturing the protocol for all
the transactions. This will then be performed for the new updated protocol for O5ClientNew and
O5ServerNew in order to identify the problems. Once processed and documented I will be providing
a report in order to prove that the issues are related with the new software update.
