In the Tonbridge and Malling the graph shows that it has fewer amounts of people, who are deprived for
example, in the 2007-09 is at 38 directly age-standardised mortality per 100,000 however when
comparing Tonbridge and Malling to Medway it shows that the most deprived area is at 110 which is
much higher than the frst graph. In terms of most afuent Tonbridge and Malling the graph shows that
in the 2007-09 it was at 38.6 whereas comparing to the Medway which was the 53.1.
The reason of this is because people who live in Medway are more open to circulatory disease due to
the environment they live in which means that Medway is more polluted compared to the Tonbridge
and Malling where it is less polluted in the deprived areas.
However, in the most afuent areas of Tonbridge and Malling the rate of circulatory disease mortality
rate is much higher compared to the most afuent in Medway, I think it is because rich people tend to
use more technology which could cause harm to their health. This means that those who live in Medway
and are rich they use technologies as well but they might not use the same quality technology as those
rich people who live in the Tonbridge and Malling. This could also mean that those who live in Tonbridge
and Malling and live in the deprived areas get more help compared to those who live in Medway and
therefore that’s why Medway has a higher circulatory disease mortality rates aged under 75.
