10. Plaque: Placa; A deposit, build-up of fatty material, cellular waste products, calcium and
other substances on the inner lining of an arterial wall.
11. Atherosclerosis: Ateroesclerosis: a disease when arteries harden and become narrower due
to the plaque.

generally when systolic blood pressure is less than 90 mm Hg or diastolic less than 60 mm H
14. Coronary Artery Disease (CAD): Enfermedad de las arterias coronarias (EAC).
Sinónimo: arterioesclerosis coronaria is arteriosclerosis of the inner lining of the blood vessels
that supply blood to the heart.
15. Angina (Angina Pectoris): Angina (angina de pecho) : chest pain or discomfort that usually
occurs with activity or stress. Angina is chest discomfort due to poor blood flow through the
blood vessels in the heart.
16. Palpitations: Palpitaciones : the feelings of having rapid, fluttering or pounding heart.
