Pandora - answer She was the first human created by the gods, more specifically by
Hephaestus and Athena on the instructions of Zeus. Each god helped create her by
giving her unique gifts. In the myth, she opened a jar, releasing all the evils of humanity,
leaving only Hope remaining when she closed the jar. It was opened out of curiosity, not
malice. She was molded out of earth as part of punishment of humanity for
Prometheus's theft of the secret fire.
