whether through empowerment, diversity, or job design. Empowerment is “giving employees the
authority to make decisions.” Taylor, 2019. The employer must entrust employees to do their job
because that is what they got hired to do. An employment culture offers many benefits to an
organization, and it is a booster in motivation. It will increase productivity because of trust, and
when confidence reaches a high level, its improved quality, and reduced production costs. It is a
win-win situation; however, empowerment requirement education and training.
Workplace diversity is where an organization comprises varying characteristics such as;
different sex, gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, religion, pollical beliefs, education,
languages, culture, and military service. Workplace diversity is crucial because it increases
creativity, and that has been proven in many categories. The more ideas, when put people
together from backgrounds, it will create high creativity. Diversity in a workplace will bring new
perspectives, a wider talent pool, motivation, employee completion, and increased profit. “it is
important to identify critical cultural elements.” Taylor, 2019. If not, an organization can violate
the Civil Rights Acts of 1964.
Job design is a process to enables the organization to attain its goals while motivating and
fulfilling their employee. A well-designed job designed will lead to high productivity, quality of
work, job satisfaction, and low turnover. According to Fredrick Herzberg, there are several
attributes of good job design. The two that stand out to me the most are feedback and adjustment.
