The Native Americans had stopped seeking further colonial expansion by putting a temporary pause on the pontiac
an Ottawa chief which forged the West into the Native Americans land. Pontiac’s rebellion put this on a pause and
rebelled against the Western confederation which they also then rebelled against colonists that encroached on their
land. The British had passed the Proclamation Act of 1763 because they also sent additional troops to this rebellion
and brought it as a result to them passing this act.

An impact in the end of the this American Revolution that fell upon western expansion was when the settlers moved
westward during the 1780’s congress and with that under the articles of confederation, the northwest ordinances
became a significant accomplishment. There became resistance to this expansion on the west however.

This resistance was led by General Anthony Wayne the following year in 1795. The Treaty of Greenville was signed in
which it had defeated the tribes that gave up the claim to Ohio territory. The Treaty of Greenville after this battle ha
most of north western territory as America and the Treaty of Greenville had basically given the green light to a surge
of the new settlement in the region.

Tecumseh was a Shawnee warrior along with the prophet being his brother. They formed a union of tribes east of th
MIssissippi to try and fight white intrusion on their land as they were given weapons supplied by the British and lead
to a whole cultural revival amongst the various native american tribes. Eventually this resistance was once again
checked in the battle of Tippecanoe.

Andrew Jackson led soldiers to spanish-controlled Florida and had the plan of killing a bunch of people which
included the Native Americans. During the first seminal war, the result of Spain had been seen unable to defend or
control the Florida territory.
