Section 1- Overview and Goal Description
The company I chose is Donor Alliance, a non-profit organ organization,
leading in the donation and recovery of transplantable organs and tissues (Who We Are, 2021).
This company is interesting to me because they are a non-profit company that saves lives. I
have lived to see two of my favorite family members pass away due to these complications.
Vision, Mission, and Values
The company’s vision is to maximize all of its donation opportunities. To achieve this, the
company performs in different kinds of programs all over so that they can achieve this goal.
For example, they participate in the Rocky Mountain program, which is dedicated to helping
organizations evolve for excellence. Their commitment to improving the organization is
impeccable. Their values are integrity, leadership, excellence, accountability, and people first.
Integrity is a virtue of one’s character and makes one more likely to receive advantages
(Sagoff,
1995). They are currently headquartered in Colorado and a majority of Wyoming. The
company states on their website that they have the greatest standards along with the best
medical team. Their main mission is to save lives through organ and tissue donation and
transplantation. Their workers understand the company’s values and try their best to discuss
new ideas and improvements for the company by having meetings.
Every day they are trying their best to save lives. The company has achievements of
Five Premier Colorado hospitals (11th Annual Ending the Wait Awards Honor Organ and
Tissue Donation Achievements of Five Premier Colorado Hospitals, 2019). Colorado is one of
the top states for donation in the country. They represent more than 100 member hospitals and
health systems in the state. The company’s Finances are in good hands and doing well. They
, established results for day’s cash on hand of greater than 494 days from 2014-2016 (NIST,
2020). This is
double their comparison and they have improved organ donor cost savings since 2018 (NIST,
2020).
Goals
As new CEO, the first goal for the company would be to expand nationally. The company is
already doing so great, so why not introduce this concept and company in other states. There
are offices in Colorado and one in Wyoming. They have also changed their procedures to being
more environmentally friendly, using recycled items in their packaging and material. As the
new CEO,
I would like to continue this by conserving more water, less energy, and looking for green
waste methods. Many experts agree that investing in energy-efficient power can save from 25
to 45 percent off of the energy bills (Harveston, 2019). The outreach needs to expand and
benefit the company and other establishments.
Section 2- Change Management Best Practices
One of the best practices that Donor Alliance has been awarded for is collaborating and
attending events. This has allowed their journey to be super successful improving quality and
health care trends. For example, employees attend the best practice learning events in which
they learn different services while receiving a better understanding of customer requirements
(Donor Alliance, 2020). This practice will help meet customer requirements and needs while
educating the workers at the company. Attending events will help boost our reputation and
knowledge of workers and will be implemented once a month to different employees, giving
everyone a chance to attend an event. Having every employee attend a meeting will help
expand our goal. Every employee will be educated so that when expanding nationally, they will
