report. Caring for our patients included 25% lower hospitalization rates, 48% lower hospital
readmission rates, and an 11% increase in patients electing for home dialysis as their primary
treatment option (DaVita Reports on 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives, 2020).
Fewer missed treatments and lower hospitalization rates help patients spend more time at home
with family and loved ones. Caring for each other highlighted the company continues to create
new opportunities for teammates to thrive. DaVita now offers fully-funded tuition and support
for patient care techs to become registered nurses and has become a leader in gender equality,
launching its first mental health awareness campaign in 2019. Caring for Our World highlighted
being named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices World Index after being analyzed for
environmental, social, and governance practices (Davita Reports on 2019 Corporate Social
