by doing the following:
Planning:
In order for the hospital to be in compliance with the rules and regulations of local, state, and
federal HIPAA guidelines, we will be implementing immediate training sessions for all hospital
staff. All hospital staff will be required to complete additional HIPAA trainings every six
months on the hospital intranet website to remain in compliance.
Organizing:
The hospital’s human resources team will be responsible for scheduling the initial in person paid
training sessions over a period of seven days. The human resources department will also be
responsible for emailing the training schedule and ensuring that each employee is scheduled
outside of their normal working hours. They will also be responsible for ensuring that all
employees have access to the follow up trainings in the intranet portal and are aware of training
deadlines.
Directing:
The human resources department in collaboration with the health information management
director will host the hands-on training sessions with all hospital staff that will include role
playing exercises, visual presentations with periodic Q&A sessions, and computer based training
