 Community Resource 1: Being that we are in a rural community, people usually need to go

outside of our community to address a need outside of the school. Counselors are available but

are often not fully covered under insurances. This can cause the quality of resources to diminish

and limit families to mediocre care/services. Being in a low-income area, many families cannot

afford private counselors unless it is provided by a county program. The only counselors within

our physical community, outside of the school system and private counselors, would be our

churches. We have four churches within our town limits, and all provide counseling of some

type. However, there are families that are not religious and will not use this resource as it is

faith-based.

 Community Resource 2: Activities are sometimes available for kids (before COVID) that are not

affiliated with the school district. These include youth sports such as little league, flag football,
