Apple, Inc. designs, manufactures and sales a range of electronic devices such as
computers, smartphones, tablets, headphones, watches and other accessories and a variety of
other related services. The company was founded in 1977 and although they had been
successful with their products, they really broke the mold with the iPhone. The first release
of the iPhone came in 2007 and by 2012 they became the world’s largest smartphone maker.
Besides the devices and accessories, Apple also offers other services such as iTunes,
Apple Music and AppleTV where users can purchase or subscribe to be able to enjoy music,
television, and movies on any of their Apple devices. All of these are run by the iCloud,
which allow user to access their music, photos, emails, notes etc. across all devices as well as
the ability to share with other Apple users in a secure and quick manner.
Apple’s mission statement is “to bringing the best user experience to its customers
through its innovative hardware, software, and services.” [ CITATION App19 \l 1033 ] and
they have succeeded in the mission by continuously updating and improving their products
based on customer needs and wants. Apple has a way of creating products and services users
did not realize they needed or wanted. Apple starts with the design process first and
foremost and then develop marketing plans and marketing plans. They allow designers to
control the narrative before the rest of the business, which allows them to stay true to their
