Topic Introduction:
For this essay, I will be researching two companies I am very familiar with. One it’s a
manufacturing company which is Apple, Inc. and a service company will be AFBA (Armed Forces
Benefit Association) which is a Life Insurance company that serves those people who serve our nation. I
am also an employee for this company and I can relate to it very much.
Apple is a very big and successful company because of their high-quality products and very good designs
that are typically ahead of any other competitor. Apple is by far the most recognized companies and in
demand for a lot of people around the world and as they come up with new products every year. Apple’s
pricing must continue to follow its pillars and focusing in their indirect distribution channels. In the other
hand we have AFBA as a service provider. They are a life insurance company that mainly focusses on
our first responders, government employees, government contractors and all our military by offering an
additional service of life insurance. This company does not sell to civilians as they give their full
attention to the people that serve this nation.
Company Inventory:
Both Apple and AFBA carry completely different type of inventory.
For Apple, their number one product and what they sell the most is the iPhone. It is their most popular
item selling millions of units each and every month. Other products that are a quite popular demand are
iPads, Macs, Apple Watch, and Apple TV. Currently and due to the pandemic around the world Apples
has reported selling more iPhones than ever before. “The research indicates that Apple sold 15 million
iPhones to customers in the Unites States in the second quarter from April to June 2020 – that’s more
than ever before. This corresponds to an increase of ten percent compare to the second quarter of
2019.”
, AFBA as a service company provides different type of life insurance packages depending on the type of
individual, they are working with. As an active or retired military service member, first responder,
government employee, Department of Defense contractor, or spouse or children of any of these groups,
all are eligible to apply and be a member of our insurance plan through our carrier. Having extra
coverage can always provide satisfaction and a peace of mind that future needs are covered.
Good and Services Design Concept:
Apples goods and designs services are general as with this company they typically product hundreds and
thousands of one particular laptop, tv, or perhaps phone for millions of consumers. Even though there
might be a number of different designs that people can choose from or particular items that might fit
someone’s needs, there are only a limited number of designs that are produce millions of times. There
might be additional service that an individual can chose, like for example a one-on-one training of a
particular laptop, typically at the time of purchase or they may return to a store when ever needed for the
training necessary to understand the device or it could also be like our second choice.
AFBA goods and services are on a one-on-one basis to fit the needs of the particular person. Showing
