Pt assessment was performed along with vital signs prior to initiating Dr standing order antibiotic therapy. Antibiotic therapy was initiated via IV infusion over 30 min. Pt began complaining of difficulty in breathing swelling and appeared restless. Provider was contacted and advised to 0.5mg of Epi 1-1000 IM injection, 50mg of diphenhydramine IV, 5mg albuterol via nebulizer mask, 125mg of methylprednisolone, and a Rantitidine infusion started. Pt was monitored continuously during treatment and improved rapidly.
