This is a T-S Chart by Keenan and Keyes. The letters T stand for
temperature and s for entropy. This graph is solely for the water/steam
substance. If this were a cartesian coordinate system, the temperature would
be the vertical axis (y) and the entropy would be the horizontal axis (x).
, The T-s chart has a distinct bell curve on it if you look closely, it is called the saturation
curve. When a given point of water substance falls on this curve, it is in saturated state.
There are two sides to the saturation curve. If it falls on the red curve, it is in saturated vapor
state. If it falls on the blue curve, it is in saturated liquid state.
The point where the red curve
and the blue curve meets is
called the critical point.
