Pass Criteria:
Problem - Fantastic Flowers is a company that is dedicated to
creating flower designs for customers , they currently have an
old and unreliable system at hand , their sales are completed
hand to hand with an inaccurate till that has abnormal
calculations sometimes. This isn't good for the business as they
could be potentially losing profit. Therefore they have asked us
to help them set up a completely new IT setup that will
modernise their business.
They would currently like to have an office with ultra fast
internet speeds , EPOS , network , computers and other hardware
and software to accommodate 5 digital artists. They would also
like to integrate mobile devices as part of their business
allowing customers to shop independently, the computers would
need reliable specs that are functionally with the software
given for the designs. In addition they would like to access any
work securely from home or any remote place so that they can
carry out their tasks.
They want a safe and reliable method to backup and protect any
data that is vital to the business whether that being customer
or business data they want it all protected and saved and
preferably backed up to somewhere safe which is external.
Finally they would like their customer service to be unique and
friendly so that they can receive the best feedback. They asked
us to provide them with online remote video conferencing
meetings with their customers on special occasions with
additional equipment like headphones, microphones for other
staff members to communicate with their customers.
Distinction Criteria:
Pros - By having this new IT setup for the business it brings
many benefits to the company, with fast internet speeds it
allows the work to be completed with no disruptions, before the
, system they had in place was inaccurate and very slow causing
them a massive loss , this setup will help with accuracy and
speeds to complete sales. Implementing EPOS to their business
allows them to stretch the business out further by taking card
payments which will benefit the business greatly and improve
sales.
Integrating mobile devices allows the customers to shop
independently saving a lot of time for the staff members as all
they would have to do is prepare any order that is set through.
Backing up any data allows them to fight off against any
problems that will cause them data loss as they would just
insert the backup making them begin where they left off
benefiting the company and saving time. By asking us to
implement remote access to their work would mean that they are
able to complete work from anywhere allowing them to be on top
of their work meaning that they won't be lacking when it comes
to taking orders as they would be stressed over the amount of
work to be completed. Remote consultation allows the business to
receive huge amounts of positive feedback from customers putting
a very good image on the brand.
Cons - As well as having alot of major benefits from this new IT
setup it brings a few negatives alongside with it such as;
finding the staff members that have the knowledge of using the
system which could be very time consuming. Being a target , by
modernising your business it allows people to find weaknesses
and vulnerabilities which can be exploited heavily which could
mean a great loss for the company if it was to happen as people
would lose their trust to you resulting in a lot of negative
feedback.
